I thrive on stories about science, art, education and culture, especially the offbeat. An alumna of the University of Wisconsin, I studied journalism and environmental science while working as a staff writer and editor for The Badger Herald, formerly the nation's largest daily independent student newspaper. My first true brush with science writing was covering high-energy and particle physics at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, where I lived for four months after college. I am currently employed full-time as the Associate Editor for Space Science and Engineering Center, a geophysical research center at UW-Madison. I also fact-check for Discover Magazine and do some freelance writing. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, read, make crafts and travel. Feel free to contact me with any questions!
