I thrive on stories about science, art, education, and culture — especially the offbeat. An alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I studied journalism and environmental science while working as a staff writer and editor for (formerly) the nation's largest daily independent student newspaper, The Badger Herald. My first immersion in science writing was covering particle physics at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, where I lived for four months after college. I am currently the Associate Editor for the Space Science and Engineering Center at UW-Madison. I also fact-check for Discover Magazine and do some freelance writing. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, make crafts, and travel. Contact me!
