I thrive on stories about science, art, education, and culture — especially the offbeat. An alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I studied journalism and environmental science while working as a staff writer and editor for a daily independent student newspaper, The Badger Herald. My first brush with science writing was covering particle physics at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, where I lived for four months after college. I am currently the Associate Editor for the Space Science and Engineering Center at UW-Madison. I also fact-check for Discover Magazine and do some freelance writing. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, make crafts, and travel. Contact me here.
